What's on my mind

Random Thoughts In My Mind

The world has become an amusing place...

We need Facebook to tell others how we are feeling

We need Twitter to have an opinion

We need Instagram to enjoy our food

We need Snapchat to cherish memories

And most of all, we need an internet connection to have a life...

Trending in the country

He's back! He's back! His back! His glorious back!

Hi there! It's been so long since my last post. I was starting to believe I would never be able to post any blog. This has been on my mind for a while now. How the media brands everyone with labels and then watches as one label tries to outdo the other.

Am I Funny?

Sometimes, it's so difficult to get yourself to keep blogging. Sometimes, you find yourself blogging just about everything. Anyway, I have Facebook page where I post 'funny' stuff...

She

She Walks in through the door every morning

Stands in front of us and starts talking.

Most of it we understand, some of it we don't

Apply it we will, forget it we won't.

In two weeks' time, she taught us a lot

Improve we did, ignore we not.

Enough about her teaching, let's talk about her nature

As sweet as a pie, warmth she caters.

Her eyes so big and adorable, she closes them when she smiles

Whenever she laughs, brighter the sun shines.

Too fast in a flash, two weeks have passed

improved and learned, our ways we now part.

It's time to stop writing, to say goodbye at last

She may have walked out from our lives, but never from our hearts.

I wrote this for our Soft Skills trainer. Her name's Liya

Mom?

*Oh what a day... Does he enjoy giving me hell in his lecture? Perhaps he keeps a toy for himself in every batch that graduates from this college. I'm so glad that it's going to be over soon. Still, aren't they supposed to go easy on us in our last year? I wonder if he bribed the sun too. It's going to be a new temperature record today. The first year students must be enjoying their bus ride. Wait till you get promoted kids.*

A New Chapter

It's been almost a year since I wrote something about myself here. Let's just quickly go through what all happened during my absence from the blogosphere.

I got graduated.
I joined a few programming courses.
I joined French class.
I was thinking about M.Tech, MBA and Job.
My friend offered me to work with him and start a new business.

Shanky, Make Sandwiches!!!

So, apart from stalking others' blogs, I go through my own posts too. And I think last few posts were really not so good. Therefore, this post is about something that I haven't done in any of the previous posts. And after getting positives feedbacks about it from my friends, I thought I should document it. And what better place than my blogspace. So, here goes...

The Graduate

This is neither about the 1967 movie, nor the novel from which it was adapted. It's about me, a simple engineering graduate from Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

Mumbai monsoon

It's my 3rd visit to this amazing city, but still feels like my first. I wonder if the people who have been living here for 10-12 years still find this place amazing. Maybe this city has something new to offer everyday. I certainly hope so. The  buildings, the stories, the smell, the people, the local...they have never failed to surprise me.

Speaking of locals, I was just wondering...where I living in Nagpur get to see the trains and stations once or twice in month, lives of some people move around the Mumbai local, and that too on a daily basis. Likewise, they're quite many differences. You never see people hanging their backpacks in front instead of back, but here it's so normal. There are many 'normal' things you will find here that would otherwise seem queer. Necessity is the mother of invention as they say. Necessity also makes you walk a lot. I mean, being in a relatively small city and owning a vehicle, you rarely work your legs, unless you go on a walk everyday which is not everyone's cup of tea. Here, you will have to put your legs to use at every point of day.

I also found the answers to my questions. I still haven't found the ultimate goal I am going to chase, but I do know where to look. And that's a start.

Two days have passed since I arrived in Mumbai. Fortunately, one thing hasn't changed...the booze :D

Stay blessed ^_^

Nothing to do, nothing to think, nothing to blog

I am sure everyone must have crossed this phase at least once where they plan about the things they will do and say and blog when they become free ifrom whatever thing that is keeping them busy at the current moment. But when they do break out of the cage to pursue the job they had planned before, something feels different. You rind yourself at a point where you don't know where or how to begin, even though you had planned it before. You were so excited about it before but now you are just clueless.

Same thing is happening with me. My 8th semester exams are over. I had so many things planned...I would start writing tutorials, make my own website, try video logging, etc etc. But now I'm just sitting in front of the computer screen and warming my seat, having no clue as to where and how to begin. Hope this block doesn't last long.

It turns out you can't get loan to pursue education in animation. All my hopes to pursue my dream after completing graduation have been thwarted. Am going to Mumbai to find an alternative and get some guidance about future.

Hope your life is quite interesting. Stay blessed ^_^

Let's Wait For The Pot To Overflow

I am not being skeptical. But why is it that people are reacting at a large scale now when the statistics say a rape happens every 20 mins in the country. My sudden posts are an example of the very thing I am talking about. Why must people wait before it becomes intolerable?

The Five Rupee Logic

Exams, exams exams!!!! (Yes I chose a very appropriate time to post something). But isn't that completely normal? I mean, don't most people get the urge to blog when it's exam time? Or an interview, or a meeting? It's like everything else becomes so interesting when there is a task at hand. Proceeding with the topic

How Transparent Can You Be With Your Parents?

Read this prior to the following post

One day my mother called me and asked, "what is porn?"

I started guffawing

mum - "What's the matter?"

me - "Why are you asking me?"

mum - "Well, I asked dad but he said you will be able to explain it more clearly"

I looked at dad but he didn't give any reaction

me - "Where did you read it?"

mum - "In the news paper...about Sunny Leone who is a porn star"

I smiled again

mum - "What are you smiling about?"

I controlled myself

me - "Did I ever ask you what you and papa did on the first night of your marriage?"

mum - "No, that's not the question you should ask"

me - "So porn films are everything about what you do at that night"

mum - "matlab tum yahi sab dekhte rehte ho internet pe"

me - "Why the hell are you asking such questions?"

she persisted, "dekhi ki nahi?"

me - "Yes, once..."

mum - "fir? kyu dekhi?"

me - "umm...curiosity? Just to know what exactly it is"

then I had to lie

mum - "bas ek baar hi dekhi aur fir nahi?"

me - "yes"

mum - "Good, you know people sometimes get addicted to such stuff"

and I just nodded my head...

Sometimes I think a sitcom should be made on my family. It would turn out to be much better than daily soap at least o_O
